Game 1 Olympiacos vs Panathinaikos GBL a statisitcal anomaly
After watching the game and meticulously writing down the play by play here are the results. The total 2 point actions by Olympiacos were 38 and for Pao 37. Olympiacos generated 16 free throws from 2 point actions and Pao generated 5 from 2 point actions.
In total Oly shot 29 free throws. 12 were from being in bonus, 1 was technical, 2 from and-1 and 14 from 2 point fouls.
Panathinaikos shot 5 free throws ,4 from 2 point fouls and 1 and-1.
The ratio for 2 point actions for Oly and Pao are 38/37
And for 2-point attempts generated free throws 16/5.
Free throw attempt per 2 point action ratio:
Oly 16/38=0.421
Pao 5/37= 0.135
To sum up Olympiacos shot 3 times more free throws than Pao for every 2 point action.
