Confused about my best friend

My best friend and I have known each other for 24 years. We grew up and found ourselves together. Life experience like that can obviously inspire loyalty and love between people. And I would say it inspired even more in me. I not only love him, but am in love with him. My desire for him is intense. It can be put on the back-burner, so to speak, but it always comes back more fiery and passionate than ever.

Throughout the years, we have fooled around. We've made out a few times, given each other one short hand-job (we were interrupted) and even recently shared another kiss - at my prompting. He's always been a bit hot and cold. Sometimes he says he thinks I'm unattractive and not his type, and other times he jokingly reaches over to grab my cock and pulls away, exclaiming "just kidding!", tickles me until I'm super hard, or leans in for a kiss, letting his tongue glide across my lips, before pulling away.

As you can imagine, being called unattractive, only to then be nearly kissed, gives me vertigo. The last time we made out he did tell me he wasn't attracted to men and said we shouldn't make out again, which was great to hear. A firm boundary is something I can understand. But then, a month later, we started discussing threesomes, and he said he'd totally have one with me, and that he'd want to tag-team a girl but also would gladly fool around with me too. And when we were drunk at a party and alone, he told me if a guy had the hips of a woman, he'd be "totally happy."

All this to say, I have no clue where he stands with his sexuality, nor do I really know where I stand with him. We're gonna hang out again now that he's graduated university and back in town and I don't know what to expect.

Any advice is appreciated. Given he knows I'm attracted to him, and that he keeps flip-flopping between "no more make outs", and flirtatious physical teasing, I'm not sure what to say. I feel like I should tell him to stop flirting, but y'know, it's hard to say no when I'm so turned-on and flattered when he makes a pass at me.
