Ali did NOT have a redemption arc

Ali did NOT have a redemption arc

ive rewatched this show just about a million times, never read the books, and now im grown and realizing Ali never had a redemption arc like people claim she did. i used to be soooo excited every time she came back, but now im just annoyed by her presence. she came back and was still controlling asf, expecting everyone to just drop and do what she wanted, controlling the girls and forcing them to remember her lies, and then paying Noel to attack Hanna’s mom was just the cherry on top.

years pass, she still doesn’t get a redemption arc, her entire presence on the show revolved around prioritizing anything above her actual friends who remain loyal to her, including Cece. the reason why A exists is because of her, she built A brick by brick, she was a terrible person then, and she still is. the more I rewatch the show, the more I support Mona getting her revenge.

i feel like the odd one out cus I don’t like maya even on my 700th watch 😭

idk there’s nothing really special that jumps out to me about her other than her being Emily’s first gf, and her death, which is super sad. but like even on my first watch before she died, her character never moved me, the few scenes before she disappeared like at Emily’s sharks party, did move me a little, seeing the sadness in her eyes, but her as a whole, not really.

I was never a big fan of Pam in the first season, esp the way she treated Emily, but when she tried to get to know maya again and apologize and maya just sat that there and made a fool out of herself, I feel like at that point the writers no longer cared about her and wanted Emily to move into a different direction, so they make her smoke again to piss Emily off and then they kill her off the show, like be fr ??? and her and Emily don’t even make sense, I feel like Emily was just excited to be out of the closet and to have a gf up until she was mourning maya, like they were just so opposites it strange, kind of like Emily and Allison, it’s like they’re just forced to be together, it’s kind of ridiculous.
