Finding Business Summer Internships
This is specifically for students in the Belk College of Business: how are you getting your internships? In a lot of LinkedIn posts, students thank recruiters from the company. I've gone to career events hosted by the school and even have previous internship experience, but no recruiters have reached out to me. I’m currently interning at a nonprofit this summer (unpaid), but my goal is to secure a paid corporate internship for next summer.
Things I've tried so far:
- Applying through HireANiner
- Reaching out to employees for coffee chats
- Attending career fairs and reaching out to employers directly
While these steps have gotten me zoom calls and coffee chats, they haven't taken me anywhere in the interview/application process. I just want to know what I'm doing wrong so I can have a internship next summer. Any tips help!
