In the movie, it wasn’t until after Bear smashed Sarah’s face in that he finally decided to make an attempt to change the wish. That being said he didn’t want to actually end the wish till the few moments at end of the movie.

If you were put into Bear’s place in the movie and you started to realize all of the strange occurrences with Nikki, what would be the earliest point in the movie that you think you would try to end the wish/cut things off with Nikki if you didn’t think she was possessed?
This would be given the fact that you had no knowledge the wish actually worked

For me personally, the second I saw her standing in the corner of the bedroom watching me sleep I would immediately gtfo
