Route suggestion for commuting from Vancouver via 205 to Downtown PDX
I just started an office job in downtown Portland and I live in Vancouver by the 205. I'm looking for route suggestions, mainly for the north section for this route. Taking the 205 instead of I5 seems like the better options since I live right by the 205. Someone told me I should take Marine Drive west and then take Vancouver Ave south. Looking at street view images it seems like part of the Marine Drive/Vancouver Ave section gets kind of narrow with heavier/large industrial vehicle traffic. Is this the best way to go or are there any other suggested routes I can look into? I plan on doing a test run on a weekend first and I do have some flexibility on when I can arrive and leave for work. Any suggestions on this route would be great. Thanks!
