Encountered my first notorious person on power trip in mma sub
So a post was made about a guy wanting to learn martial arts because he wasn’t as tough as he thought he was after getting into a fight with a guy over staring at his girlfriend. Long story short he approached and asked him to stop He was told that he was doing nothing wrong and then he asked him how he would feel if somebody was making a family member of his uncomfortable by staring at them and so this person picked up a brick and a fight ensued until they were eventually broken up by people.
I thought that OP did nothing wrong and that as a man we need to protect our family or our girlfriends or wives in situations like this and said my opinion on the matter some comments thought that he was wrong for what they thought was starting a fight, the comments were as follows;

It sounds like you committed assault and got your ass handed to you. Stop being a dipshit first, there's always a bigger dude.

Why are you being rude for no reason at all dude and please explain how did I commit an assault?
PunksPrettyMuchDead • 5h
Some dude looking at your girlfriend and you got it in your head to confront him. He felt threatened and picked up a brick, which you justified by "defending yourself." Bro you initiated the encounter, that's stupid.

Picking up a brick whilst brazenly trying to provoke somebody by staring at their girlfriend while you are with them is escalating

He picked it up after OP confronted them, which by the tone of his post was probably a bunch of puffing his chest out and threatening to kick his ass. Then OP began the fight (sorry, "defending himself") with somebody holding a brick because he was threatening them.
All of this could have been avoided and we don't even know if the guy was actually staring at his girlfriend or thinking about their week.

He literally said 'he became hostile' in his post why would you defend someone and say op is the one in the wrong. If op said hey stop staring at my girl, and the other guy said f off i can do what i like then picked up a brick, op is not the one in the wrong.
No self respecting man will allow his girl to be perved on or gawked at and its his job to protect his girl from that kind of stuff. Plus its blatantly disrespectful to you as a man if another man does that in your presence.

My wife trains Muay Thai and MMA with me, we literally could not give less of a fuck if somebody is looking at either one of us. Why would I give a shit about somebody "disrespecting me," I'm much more concerned with respecting myself.

Good to know you're a guy that lets guys openly disrespect you and stare at your womans ass in front of you and you won't do anything about it.
Do you have a chair facing the bed in your bedroom too?

Letting us all know you'd physically assault someone for LOOKING at your girlfriend is not the flex you think it is. You clearly don't train, or you'd know how stupid what you said is.
The mod then banned me from commenting or replying to him so i sent a message to the mod team (which funnily enough the same mod picked up my message)

The mod that decided to wrongly accuse me that said id assault somebody for looking at my girl and BANNED me from responding to the accusation, is a manipulative power abusing wet flannel.
I literally stated in my comments on that same thread id never start a fight or assault anybody, and only defend myself when needed.
I stated my opinion that as a man it's our job to protect our women be it wife or girlfriend from feeling uncomfortable or perved on by creepy men. He took a disliking to that and banned me, whether its he himself or somebody else who reads this, hopefully the latter, you should see that a mod like that shouldn't be a mod at all.
r/martialarts MOD
You literally said you would assault someone if they looked at your girl, and then you called another poster a cuck. Go away
You have been permanently muted from r/ martialarts. You will not be able to message the moderators of r/martialarts.
And a separate notification saying i was permanently banned for quote ‘toxic’
(Excuse any typos or things like that as i can’t post pictures of my screenshots here i’ve tried my best to copy/paste the exchange)

Genuinely question now, men who read this, don’t you agree that if your woman or mum or sister tells you a man is staring at them and/or perving on them, you should do something about it and tell the man staring to stop? — Im not advocating assault, I’m simply stating we should protect our women whether its our wife or girlfriend or female family members.
Secondly, yes perhaps i could have been more polite to the other commenter, but i thought i was talking to a man and really dont think i was toxic, ironically suggesting he had a chair in his room was my way of trying to tell him not defending women in our lives is akin to this kind of behaviour, do you think i was genuinely in the wrong for how i spoke? Power tripping mod aside…
Anyway thats my vent, seen posts about certain mods power tripping or being unreasonable but never encountered one until now. I’m open to opinions on this.
