Is anyone running an RTX 5090 with the ROG THOR II 1200W using the bundled dual 8-pin to 12VHPWR cable?

I am planning out my setup and wanted to kindly ask the community if anyone has experience pairing an RTX 5090 with the ROG THOR II 1200W power supply.
Specifically, I am curious about the cable configuration. As this PSU uses traditional 8-pin slots on the unit itself, I would like to know if anyone is currently running (or has tried running) the 5090 using the official ASUS bundled cable—the one that goes from two PSU-end 8-pin connectors into a single 12VHPWR connector.
If you are running this exact combination, how has your experience been so far in terms of stability and overall performance during heavy gaming or workloads?
