There’s a pretty damn good chance George Mallory/Sandy Irvine’s Vest Pocket Kodak camera (if not destroyed by the Chinese Communist Party decades ago) is located under 48 vertical meters of ice at that spot.

If the Tibetan side of the mountain is on extra bad military lockdown around July/August, don’t put it past the Chinese to blow it up rather than extract the truth.
