2 Jobs. Which one do I pick. (Florida)
#1. Currently have an awesome job, hybrid position that requires about 40-60 days of travel each year(hotel and rental car paid for by company). I’m a contractor that does inspections/audits. My work week averages about 45 hours and salary is 97k. 5 day work weeks plus on call. Company 401k is 6% contribution with 3% company match. The team I work with are awesome and I have no complaints besides no raise since hired. Been here almost 4 years now.
#2 Similar position but it’s with the state of Florida. State benefits include a pension. Work weeks average 30-40hours with a salary of 93k. (This position has had a COL raise depending on the year) Required travel 20-25 days a year. Required to be at an office at least part of the day (20min drive away). 4 day work week and no on call hours required. I know the team well and they are also awesome.
- health insurance is provided by my wife’s job that is very stable (been there 10yrs+)
