To those UK based posters, in particular those whippersnappers looking for gems prior to their life..

Film 4 (4OD) currently has the oft overlooked Robert Deniro, Charles Grodin buddy movie 'Midnight Run' available to view.

I recommend EVERYONE put this on their must watch list.
Everyone from Yaphet Kotto to Denis Farina puts in UNREAL performances in a water tight script and you can tell everyone in the movie is having the time of their lives most of all Deniro who was at the height of his powers coming off the incredible run of perfect films through the 70s

There are so many little moments of absolute genius and joy I defy you to watch this movie and not fall totally in love with it.

Those who have seen it. Just watch it again. You know it will make you happy.

Live at...

I was listening to Hard Rain today for the first time in ages and just love that album so much, Dylan almost sings angry throughout, Idiot wind being the absolute zenith of bile and rage.
Anyway, got me thinking about my favourite live album.
Theres so many great ones all with a very different vibe from Budokan to Unplugged and all inbetween, the Bootleg series, just a lot of great work.

Whats your standout? Im sticking with Hard Rain.
But maybe thats todays recency bias.
