Upper trap mobility
Hello everyone.
A couple months ago, I returned to the gym after a really hectic bout of sinusitis.
I was a little too eager and went right back into heavy weights, ended up really messing up my upper left side.
I started physio and recovery about 2 months ago, went through 4 sessions of Shockwave therapy for the tendon connecting my chest to my front delt.
I was also extremely tight in the area highlighted above in the image.
My physio did help me with that area during our sessions, but the focus was mainly on the tendon.
I've slowly been getting back into upper body movements and I'm noticing it starting to tighten up quite a bit again despite stretching (keeping shoulder lowered and pulling head to the right with my other hand).
I should also add that I do high bar squats at least once a week, working at 120kg /245lbs(?(Not american))
I was thinking maybe I should take a break from them as well to reduce the load on my traps?
I would really appreciate it if anyone with advice or similar experiences could share how they dealt with this area.
Many thanks.
