DUI (out of state) in Florida requirements

Hi all!
I thought I’d share my experience with my dui I had back in November of 2024 and also share my experience of how to get your license record cleared from FLHMVS (impossible)

I had just moved back to my hometown (MI) and five days being there I got a dui. Due to JUST moving there I still had not switched to a MI License vs FL. I was charged in Michigan and also Florida (only due to having that license at the time)
The obsitcles Ive had to go through almost two years later and also mind you still not having a license to this day…
I see the brighter side now and am almost able to get my license.
I had done 2 dui classes (both 12 hours) but they didn’t accept them. They require a 12 hour DUI INPERSON COURSE. Whatever you do, don’t do a online because you will be denied.
I signed up for another one and one person said I could do it and then I did it and they denied it!! I just finished my 4th and finally I believe they will accept it.
Also I’ll attach a number to call to make sure they will accept the class to begin with!!!
I’m going to attach the things that I had to mail into FLHMVS to be able to get the insurance hold off and then move the process immensely as well as the phone number best to get ahold of them!
I’m really hoping this information will help because it’s been absolute he** the last 2 years.
I can honestly say though, I’ve came so far. I’m married now and barely drink any alcohol. Before the case, I was drinking very heavily and incredibly irresponsible. Im thankful I didn’t hurt anyone or harm myself also. I think the FLHMVS department though, needs incredible help with the phone system and the people who work there. I’ve talked to nasty people who gave me false information and made this process incredibly longer than it needed to be.
Thanks all hope this could help!
Best number for FLHMVS: 850617200 or 8506173700
Number to see if they will accept the dui course: 5124636599
And then the DUI requirements mailed to FLHMVS
