In my opinion, these are the biggest problems The Isle currently has. (aside from balance issues)

Night Vision

The current night vision system makes very little sense.

In Legacy, night vision was only useful at night. During the day, using it would actually make your vision worse compared to having it turned off. This meant you didn’t spend 70% of your playtime looking at the game through strange night-vision shaders, and you could actually enjoy the graphics the game has to offer.

Nights also felt much more exciting and immersive while remaining far more playable. Right now, there are moments when you literally can’t even see the ground beneath your feet. On top of that, the old system was much easier to balance, since developers only needed to adjust the vision range for different dinosaurs based on their intended strengths and weaknesses.

Map

The map is visually stunning, but it's completely covered in bushes and dense forests.

The map is probably too large for only 200 players, but I think the main reason players rarely encounter each other is not just the size of the map, it’s the fact that almost the entire map is a tangled maze of trees and vegetation. This heavily limits interactions and player encounters.

I miss the moments from Legacy when you could spot other groups in the distance across open plains, or see dinosaurs running along the beach from far away. It simply made the world feel much more alive.

I'm not saying the forests should be removed, absolutely not. However, at the very least, the existing plains should remain open and free from excessive vegetation and hiding spots, allowing players to actually see and interact with each other.

Pounce

Pounce is in an awful state.

The fact that both pounce and pin are still graphically broken makes them feel terrible to use and watch. The animations and visual issues completely break immersion and negatively affect gameplay.

Bonus: Sounds are so unclear.
