I am facing a long delay with my bank regarding the transfer/closure of my FCNR and NRE-related funds.
The issue has been going on for more than six months. I have already submitted the required documents multiple times, including address proof and transfer forms. Some funds were partially transferred, but the full transfer has still not been completed.
The bank repeatedly asks for additional clarification or documents, even though earlier documents were already submitted and acknowledged. I feel this has caused unnecessary delay and financial loss due to missed interest and blocked access to my own funds.
I am not sharing account numbers or personal details here for privacy reasons.
Has anyone faced a similar issue with an Indian bank, FCNR account, NRE/NRO transfer, or international fund repatriation? What would be the best escalation route — bank grievance cell, RBI Ombudsman, CMS portal, or legal notice?
