Looking for a cofounder for a self-service kiosk startup (PrintTap)

Hey everyone,

I’m currently building an early-stage startup called PrintTap a mobile-first self-service printing kiosk platform designed for condos, coworking spaces, cafés, student housing, and other high-traffic environments.

The concept is simple:
Users scan a QR code, upload documents from their phone or laptop, pay digitally, and print instantly onsite.

The idea came from noticing that most people no longer own printers, yet still regularly need to print things like shipping labels, travel documents, government forms, school assignments, and lease paperwork.

I’ve already been building the platform, kiosk infrastructure, deployment strategy, and partnership outreach across Toronto, and I’m now looking to connect with potential cofounders or operators interested in helping scale the business.

Would especially love to connect with people experienced in:

  • hardware/kiosk operations
  • logistics & deployment
  • B2B sales/partnerships
  • startup growth
  • retail/property operations

Still early stage, but I believe there’s an opportunity to build a modern convenience infrastructure layer around on-demand public printing.

Happy to connect and chat with anyone interested.

Realized nobody owns printers anymore… so I started building this

Over the last year I kept noticing the same thing:

People constantly need to print things shipping labels, visa forms, returns, school assignments, lease paperwork but almost nobody actually owns a printer anymore.

So I started building PrintTap, a self-service printing kiosk that lets people:

  • scan a QR code
  • upload documents from their phone
  • pay digitally
  • print instantly onsite

The goal is to place them in condos, cafés, coworking spaces, student housing, and other places people already spend time.

Right now I’m in the early deployment/partnership stage around Toronto and trying to validate where this would actually be most useful.

Curious:

  • Would you use something like this?
  • What locations make the most sense?
  • What would stop you from using it?

Would genuinely appreciate feedback from the community.
