Transcript Name Mismatch
I'm having an issue with my application and wonder if anyone here has had the same issue...
When I was attending high school, I went by a preferred name that is VERY different from my legal name. Apparently, they put my preferred name on my diploma rather than my legal name.
I have tried to send my transcripts to UMPI two separate times, and tried to get in touch with the admissions office, but to no avail. I have tried calling 4 separate times but always end up calling when no one is there. I have left messages and tried emailing them.
My high school is refusing to change the name on my transcripts, and UMPI is having a hard time understanding the situation (I don't blame them tbf) My SSN is the same as it has always been, so I'm confused as to why this has become such a problem for my high school to just change the name back to what my legal name has ALWAYS been.
Anyone gone through this issue or similar and know how to navigate it? I was hoping to start during Summer 2, but I may have to push this out further...
