Locals near tourist areas notice this a lot — foreign visitors and Korean kiosks

I work near Yangjae and honestly see this pretty regularly — a Japanese or Chinese visitor standing in front of a restaurant kiosk just kind of frozen. The language switch button is there, but it's not always obvious, or they just don't expect it.

What I've noticed lately: a few spots around here now let you scan the menu with your phone and it pulls up descriptions in your language. Small thing but way better than guessing.

Most places haven't caught up though. Kind of a gap between "we have tourists" and "we actually made it easy for tourists."
