Hey drum folks. I've been going to open jams for a few months and someone dug my playing. They reached out after several months to see if I could cover for a gig! ...in 2 days...

Now I'm bringing mics, cables, stands, and a full kit. No idea what the venue is providing but he made it sound like he's relying on all my audio gear (sound guy is my day job). I know venues are SUPPOSED to have audio gear, but I don't wanna be up a creek...

I've also been sent a list of 20 songs, several originals, to learn. This would be fine if it was the blues. It is not the blues. I've got 2 days (full work days too).

Any advice for learning 20 country songs? Is there a formula? Or just keep the beat and ride along?

And am I supposed to be stressed? Or do real drummers push it deep down and earn those $20 and a beer?

Appreciate any advice or "been there"s!
