How to normalize spending on myself
Here's my situation: I just turned 25, I'm starting a new job and will make around 113k per year. I have a potential side business, which I think could bring in an additional 30k per year. So, about 9k per month (without the side business)
My expenses are pretty low since my fiancé and I are living together.
1,200 rent & utilities (I pay 60% of rent & utilities)
500 transportation (parking, insurance, gas) I have a paid off car.
400 Groceries (I pay for groceries)
200 going out (usually I pay, but sometimes not)
------
2,300 total
I've always never spent money on myself.... I really would enjoy going concerts, getting a nice hair cut or going to get a massage / Accupuncture once and awhile for my back.
How have people normalize put money aside for themselves and not felt bad about spending it?
Do you have any advice or tools you have used to help separate the investment money from fun money?
I'm tired of thinking, if only I invested it..
