its a metal pinion ,but i thought that this was ok, and it is spaced correctly, the pitch is the same, is there anything i am missing? Its a fz02 btw

these past few months, my xts s10’s ESC has shutoff while running without me turning it off. I know that it is an issue of earlier s10’s, and i am wondering if there is any solution not including getting a new esc. I feel like this is an issue because losing control at 40 mph is a safety risk. any help would be appreciated. My warranty has already expired, and this only started happening recently.
