They're trying to build a new jail at North Park AGAIN?
Pack the Room - Tuesday May 12 at 5pm!

Monroe County Commissioners are once again trying to build a new mega jail at North Park, miles away from downtown and services. Phase one by itself will cost upwards of $135 million; we don’t even have an estimate for phase two!

This is the exact same project the community defeated last October! But it’s not a done deal, County Council votes on the Purchase Agreement this Tuesday. Pack the room and let them know this is NOT what the community wants!

Join at downtown courthouse or online. Meeting starts at 5pm, jail vote is later in the agenda - it’s hard to predict exactly when it will be up for discussion and public comment. Spread the word!
