So I applied to my local department 2-3 months ago, I passed my oral interview, my CVSA, my psychology exam (it’s been a month since I’ve taken) and nothing bad was found on my background. I did run into an issue with a collections on my credit report relaying back to my father putting a utility bill in my name when I turned 18, I was honest up front about it in my application, I was notified that they would put my application on hold because of this. I took care of the 5k collection that day, spoke with my BI had me send receipts and proof of payment. He as well called my siblings, mother to confirm I was telling the truth. He then asked me to call him to let me know that he finished my background packet, said he’s gonna try to squeeze me in this class but more than likely have to be pushed to the fall academy class, let me know obviously he’ll be in touch and for me to stay in touch with him. Looking for opinions if anyone’s had something like this come up or an event similar?
