Planning a solo trip across the island, starting and ending in San Juan. Any crucial details I need to know? My plan is to rent a car and live out of it for a week, staying in hostels where available and just driving from city to city, meeting the people, eating the food, and seeing the views. It's overly optimistic, but I don't mind living in the dirt for a week for a more authentic experience. Aside from the crucial details, where should I rent a car? Should I avoid certain cities? Should I EVER sleep in the car?
