Which Daily Asics

Thanks to some advice on here recently I ended up getting the Superblast 2 and could not love them any more. They have transformed my running. Absolutely shocked at how much a good pair of shoes adds.

Now I am in the market for another pair. But given I don’t imagine having the resources to have several pairs, want to chose carefully.

Currently have;
- Asics Superblast 2
- Asics GT-2000 14

Am training for my next half marathon. I bought the Gel Nimbus 28 and had to sell them as they do not work on my feet and I had toe pain a few kms in.

What would be the logical third shoe to add here from the Asics lineup? Novablast? I absolutely hate the colour ways they have for them.

Any advice would help so much!

Exterior Paint in Winter

Hey there. Have a mid 50’s weatherboard home in Auckland that is in desperate need of painting. Previous owner was an elderly lady who did not paint it for 30 odd years.

Rimu weatherboard are solid but timber joinery and putty is buggered. Several windows leak due to decay of paint and putty.

Would have done it earlier in the year but got caught up with other repairs. Have the funds to have painters do the full exterior paint now - but wondering if this is a stupid time of year to? I’d love to have it done this side of proper winter, but if it’s a bad idea in terms of paint curing properly in the cooler temps/moisture etc - I could wait until spring.

Any advice appreciated!

Completely overwhelmed by the Asics lineup. Been running a pair of GT2000 and found them absolutely fine for the 40km per week I’ve been doing. Wanted to get something faster for my first half marathon last week and ordered some Gel Nimbus 28s a few weeks ago, but they felt horrible in the toe box and one training run into them I had to hobble home, so even ran the GT2000s for the half and they were fine and I finished well. They’ve lived a life now though and need to upgrade.

I have connections with ASICS so want to stick with the brand but am totally overwhelmed by what to get. I’ve tried on a few pairs and they all fit so differently. Weirdly, the one that actually felt the best in store was the Trabuco 14. I do a bit of my training on mild trails, but race on roads so probably shouldn’t go full trail shoe.

I’ve got a bunion on one foot so need a roomy toebox. I also wont have the luxury of having multiple in rotation, so want a good allrounder.

Was thinking the Megablast - but have read the toebox mesh can be a bit restrictive?

Someone please give me some insights here. Ive been going around on circles for a week on this.
