The bar is low for dads

This past weekend I helped put together a grad party for a family member. I let my husband know obviously I would be busy. I had like 4 people come up to me and say how attentive he is to his kids. And I’m like yeah? Don’t get me wrong. I’m very grateful I had his helping hand but like… that’s literally what a parent does? Is the bar so low for dads now people feel they need to tell a mom that? Because no way in heck would someone come random say that to a mother.

My daughter’s first recital is this weekend. She has very fine hair and when I’ve curled it before, it doesn’t hold curls long. The recital calls for a half up half down situation with curls. So any tips, tricks, product recs, etc. you have would really help me out! I plan to not wash her hair at least 2 days before (if possible).
