There was this comic/graphic novel I read as a kid once, and I desperately want to find it again. Oddly enough, I remember the story in some good detail, so if anyone could tell me the name of this story, I would love that.
So, from what I remember, it is either a comic or a graphic novel set in the Korean War. There is a US soldier who is lost and or wounded. A Chinese soldier, whom I think is a sniper, finds him and captures him while he is leaning up against a tree. The Chinese sniper doesn't take him anywhere but guards him while the US Soldier falls asleep.
I don't remember much of the middle part, but I do remember that the Chinese soldier steals the US soldier's water, and he gets kinda upset about it. But at some point, either because he can't take him prisoner or he has a change of heart, the Chinese sniper lets him go and gets out a map and points to a location for the US soldier to go to. Surprised but grateful, the US soldier says thank you and starts to head that way.
After that, what I remember is that the Chinese sniper is back at his base and is wondering why they are fighting this war and is talking to one of his officer about it. At some point, he learns that the area he sent the US soldier to was mined, and he hears a distant explosion.
And that is all I remember. I want to find the story and the author who makes them, as there are similar ones that I also enjoy, one of them being about stealing Enigma codes from a U-boat in Denmark, as well as others. Tell me if somebody can find this.
