I am about to take Bactrim for a suspected UTI, and my doctor told me that it can make my combo birth control pill less effective for up to two weeks after I take the antibiotics. She suggested a backup birth control method. My partner and I pull out everytime anyways, but I was wondering if that would be enough of a backup method alongside my pill? Or if I should just go buy some condoms.
