Hi everyone,

I recently got a Vandoren VK1 tenor sax reed. It looks completely new, but I noticed a crack/delamination starting about 3 mm from the tip on the left side, going diagonally downward.

The weird part is that a small section of the tip actually moves if I press it lightly, like it’s partially separated.

It seems like a manufacturing defect, but I was wondering if there is any way to fix this, or if it’s completely unusable.

Has anyone ever tried repairing something like this (maybe with glue or another method), or is it basically done once the tip is damaged?
