I’m currently running a Soundcraft Ui16 for a worship/band setting and I’ve hit a wall with physical outputs. I need to provide monitoring for a 6-member band (including lead vocal) plus 2 stage monitors for a choir and preachers.
Current Output Needs:
6x Individual IEM mixes (if possible)
1x Aux for Choir (stage monitor)
1x Aux for prechers feedback.
Total: 8 discrete mono mixes (or fewer if we share).
The Problem: The Ui16 only has 4 physical XLR Aux outs + 2 patched headphone outs (5 total).
My Questions:
Is there a reliable way to expand the Ui16 outputs without just "daisy-chaining" headphone amps and losing mix control?
If I need 8-9 discrete mixes, is there a specific product that can extend the aux number for IEM routing well?
For those using the Ui16 "Headphone Hack" (Aux 5/6), have you had reliability issues in a live setting?
Current Gear: 2x Behringer HA400, various wired IEMs, and floor wedges.
Appreciate any routing wizardry or gear suggestions!
