I just sold an item, shipped it, and all is well. I got rid of a thing and netted a little cash for it.

However, I am confused about the ebay shipping cost. The buyer paid for the cost of the item plus a $6 shipping fee on the listing. But then when I paid for the eBay label it said the shipping cost was $10 . Ebay took the full $10 from my payout. I would have thought I would only have had to pay the balance of $4 .

What am I missing? I don't see anywhere that the total shipping cost was actually $16 (which would explain $6 paid by purchaser and $10 paid by me the seller).
