Hello! I would love to find some history books discussing the Eastern Band Cherokee prior to European colonization, specifically in the Western North Carolina region if possible.

I am currently reading another history book on North Carolina, and it has mentioned some about the Cherokee and a small bit about their culture and travel routes really interested me. I would really like some well sourced and respectful history books to learn more about them, if possible.

As someone who lives in this region myself, and loves it, I would love to be able to understand the lives and history of the people who this land truly belongs to. Thank you!
