I have been staying out of WB for the last 4 years (partly in Bangalore and partly in Mumbai). In the course of my stay over these places, I came into contact with different people belonging to diverse geographies of India. And I am really amazed by the amount of hardwork, ambition and long-term vision the non-Bengalis (especially south Indians, Marathi, Gujarati, Marwari, UP, Delhi and north folks) possess in their endeavour and mindset, compared to Bengalis. Is this actually true that we are lagging behind, or am I just having a negative bias towards fellow Bengalis?
