Hello everyone,
I’m planning to get a hair transplant and would really appreciate some honest opinions about my case.
My entire top scalp is thinned out (diffuse thinning), but I still have a lot of hair left. The main issue is that many hairs have become miniaturized and much thinner.
Currently, I’m taking:
- 1 mg Finasteride daily
- 5 mg oral Minoxidil daily
- Dutasteride on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- occasional microneedling
- Ketoconazole shampoo
At the moment, my top choices are Dr. Juan Couto (FUEXPERT, Spain) and Dr. Ratchathorn (Thailand).
My questions are:
- Roughly how many grafts would you estimate?
- Which clinic/doctor would you recommend for my case?
- What do you think about my native hair and the risk of permanent shock loss with diffuse thinning?
I’m a bit worried that my existing miniaturized hairs could be permanently damaged by the surgery.
