Stuck on this screen. Button "clicks", sound effect plays, but...game doesn't start. Just remain here. I can click the button again, nothing happens.

Frustrating. Anyone else?

Edit: this is after applying the 3.8 GB 1.4.0 automatically downloaded update patch on Steam. Windows PC.

Edit 2: Same result after uninstalling Civ 7. Then reisntalling from scratch with full game download. Still stuck at "Begin game".

Edit 3: SOLVED! Even if Mods folder was empty, and "Add-ons" was empty in game, I was subscribed to Mods on Steam Workshop. Make sure to UNSUBSCRIBE from Steam Workshop Mods before starting the game. It then worked.
