Hi everyone. ok, let me state right up front... i don't care about ANYTHING on this computer, So, no files to save, no options to consider, i just want to get it back to factory specs. Here are the problems:
First, it is a Lenovo touch screen stand alone, all in one pc. Basically it is a big *ss screen with a hard drive somewhere in there. It is not a laptop.
The system tells me that it did not start correctly. I restarted it many, many, many, many times. So we can walk away from that.
It is a touchscreen so I can't hit any of the controls or shifts, etc etc. No physical keyboard. I do have the keyboard on the screen.
I finally was able to get to a command prompt but it is telling me : Windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation.
When I enter information at the command prompt x:\windows\system32> under the Administrator x:\windows\system32\cmd.exe such as:
sfc /scannow
bootrec /fixmbrbootrec /fixbootbootrec /rebuildbcd\\}""}""
instead of processing, it tells me what each related command does. Like a help menu for commands.
There is nothing connected to the computer except the power cord. no dongles, no zip drives, no nuthin. If this started because of a previous connection to a keyboard or mouse, I don't have any of those now.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this so i can take it back to factory specs please? Thank you very much in advance!!!
