I have offers from BML Munjal University and SRM University-AP for CSE, and I have 50% scholarships in both of these universities and they're costing me pretty much the same. Now which one of these unis would be a better choice for placements, brand value, and tech exposure? Ik both of these unis are on par with tier 2.5-3 colleges, but still on the metrics I defined above, which would be a better choice?
Isn't the cse avg placement of ap > ktr? And these guys proudly showcase like 10 people with 40 lpa placements on their website. Should I consider it or appear for phase 2 and go for KTR? Someone genuinely give an honest assessment about the placement scene here.
If I have ever seriously prepped for an entrance exam, it would be COMEDK. And I got brutally fucked by the S2 paper. Wtf was even S2 man, you get 180 mins for solving 180 questions, and it took me 100 mins to get done with just fucking Physics man. I had 80 mins left to get done with both maths and chemistry. I am good at maths (95%ile in jee mains), but I panicked so much that my hands were trembling while solving maths. I solved like 10 questions and then I was like fuck it and guess marked all of the remaining questions of maths and chemistry. I didn't even read one word of the questions because I was out of time.
Idek what to do atp, comedk was my last hope to get into a good college, that too in Bangalore. I haven't registered for any more entrance exams, and idts I'm gonna get a very good rank in comedk. I feel hopeless af right now.
I have a chance to get CSE in AP with 50% under represented state scholarship. But what if I book my AP seat by giving 1L + 10k and then give phase 2 as well? If I get a better scholarship in phase 2, can I transfer that money to get the better scholarship in AP?
I was thinking of applying here but I want to know if the seats for CSE is still vacant. Also, between KEE and Jee mains, which one is given preference? I have 1.8L crl in jee mains.
I got 16k rank, and ig I can get a CSE-related branch at other campuses except KTR. So which one is better than the other?
Some people are saying AP is worse than the NCR one and some are saying it's better than even the Ramapuram campus. So, seniors studying at AP campus, can yall give a clear picture?
According to the 8th point, if I don't submit the counselling fees by 5th May then my application would be moved on to the next round of counselling, right?
I mean, I won't be getting my preferred branch till round 3/4 anyway, so should I just wait till the 2nd round starts?
They gave me 3rd preference, which is Mechanical Engineering which I think is absolutely unfair.
I got 85% in 12th boards, 87% in 10th. I had a score of 1380 in the SAT (750 math) and 89.98%ile in JEE Mains. My SNUSAT + APT went really well as well (gave it on 17th April). I applied in mid Feb and was part of Round 1 Phase 3 initially via SAT.
And if my academic stats aren't good enough for ECE, here are my co-curriculars since these fuckers say that they follow a holistic admission process.
Winner of 3 national-level science fairs, 1 international online science/research competition, 2 district-level science fairs, 1 research paper publication, 2 college hackathons won, school student council head, and 2 tech internships.
They said in the offer letter that I got Mech engg through SNUSAT. And no mention of any financial aid or scholarship (I applied for the vice-chancellor via SNUSAT).
What should I do? I want at least ECE in SNU, and idts my profile was bad enough for getting the 3rd preference.
