Hello everyone, my fingerprint appointment for my permesso di soggiorno lungo periodo application was on 02/02/26 in Milan (Porta Ticinese), and it has now been more than 3 months without receiving the permit yet. Every time I check the status, it still says that the residence permit is being processed.
I know delays are common in Italy, I even once waited almost a year for a regular permesso renewal, but I still wanted to ask if this waiting time is normal for a permesso lungo periodo, especially since they told me it would take around 1 month.
Has anyone here received theirs after a similar or even longer waiting time? Or did some of you get it earlier? Did anyone try contacting the Questura or going there in person? Did it help?
