Forerunner 55 not connecting to iPhone
Hello,
I got a Forerunner 55 from Amazon and it just does not connect to my iPhone no matter what I do. I went through quite a bit of posts here and tried what were suggested but I can't go past the very first step, which is "find" the watch via the Garmin app, or via the iPhone's bluetooth setting. It seems as though the watch lacks the bluetooth connection.
I can return it as defective and get another one, I suppose, but I honestly don't want a device that is so cumbersome that it takes so much effort to just to get it connected.
Has anyone experienced this, and was it a defect, or a compatibility issue or something else? I do have an iPhone 12, which I know is old, but it works with every other bluetooth device just fine.
I'd appreciate any advice. TIA!
