Confusion and query questions regarding my visa application and appointment

Hey everyone, I’m in a really tight spot and need some urgent advice regarding an F-1 visa interview.
My Background & Current Situation:
Previous Status: I was previously in the U.S. on an F-1 visa, but my SEVIS record was automatically terminated due to a strict administrative reporting oversight (missed the 10-day window to upload an updated offer letter during a job/project transition).
Compliance: I complied fully with all regulations, worked with my university, and left the U.S. within the legal timeframe. I have a formal letter from my previous university confirming my full compliance and timely departure.
New Program: I am re-enrolling at a new university (Trine) for a second Master's degree. My tuition/fees are paid in full.
The Timeline & Problem:
Biometrics (VAC): June 10th (Tomorrow) in Chennai
Consular Interview: June 15th (Monday) in New Delhi (Booked as an Emergency Appointment based on a Summer start date)
The Issue: Because the visa timeline was so tight and Summer classes just started on June 8th, the university emailed me today stating they do not allow late arrivals. They have officially dropped my summer classes and electronically deferred my SEVIS record to Fall Term I (late August). They will not issue a late arrival letter.
My Questions for the Community:
1 If I go to the New Delhi embassy on June 15th with an Emergency Slot but my electronic SEVIS record now shows a Fall start date, will they turn me away at the door or instantly deny me?
2 How should I frame the explanation to the Visa Officer if they ask why I am using a Summer emergency slot for a Fall I-20?
3 Has anyone successfully done an interview under a similar "date mismatch" scenario after a past technical termination?
Any insight, scripts, or recommendations on how to handle the window interview would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Visa Requirements and Any suggestions attending interview

Hey everyone,
> I’m in a stressful situation and could really use some insight from those who have been through this, or any DSOs active here.
> **My Profile & History:**
> * Had a clean, 100% compliant status history in the U.S. for 8 years.
> * Working as an Information Systems Security Engineer for a major firm via a contractor.
> **The Issue:**
> Earlier this year, I transitioned from Chicago to New Jersey for my current role. Between the chaotic physical move, intensive corporate onboarding, and security clearances, I completely missed the 10-day window to report my employer change to my DSO.
> Because of this administrative oversight, my SEVIS record was terminated for a failure to maintain status.
> **Current Action Plan:**
> The moment I realized the mistake, I immediately stopped working, took official unpaid leave from my employer to stop the paystub clock, and coordinated a self-correction departure with my school. I have already flown back to India.
> I have been accepted into University for an MS in Business Analytics (switching from Cybersecurity, as my work at my firm showed me I drastically need predictive data analytics skills for modern security logging).
> My appointments are locked in for **June 1st (Biometrics)** and **June 5th (Consular Interview)**.
> **My Questions for the Community:**
> 1. Given that I have an 8-year perfect record prior to this one-time human error, how heavily will the VO weigh the SEVIS termination?
> 2. How should I best frame the 4-month reporting gap during the interview? I want to take full accountability without sounding like a red flag.
> 3. What are my realistic chances of approval versus being slapped with a 221(g) administrative processing delay?
> 4. Has anyone gone through an interview at the Chennai/Mumbai/Delhi consulates recently for a status correction and can share their experience?
> I have all my physical evidence ready: paystubs showing when I worked/stopped, the DSO email confirming my voluntary departure, and solid financial backing.
> Thanks in advance for any advice!
