Upload bug
Hello,
I am having a persistent media import issue with my Ray-Ban Stories / Ray-Ban Meta glasses and the Meta View app on my iPhone 17.
Problem:
The glasses appear connected in Meta View.
When I tap “Import Media”, the app tells me to connect to Wi-Fi.
Once connected to Wi-Fi, the app says “Something went wrong, please try again in 10 minutes.”
After the import fails, Meta View shows the glasses as disconnected even though iOS Bluetooth settings still show the glasses as connected.
Troubleshooting already performed:
Reinstalled the Meta View app.
Unpaired and re-paired the glasses.
Factory reset the glasses.
Confirmed Bluetooth permissions are enabled.
Confirmed full Photos access is enabled.
Confirmed Local Network and other permissions are enabled.
Confirmed over 160 GB of free storage on the iPhone.
Tried both Wi-Fi and cellular connections.
The glasses previously worked correctly with this same iPhone for several months before the issue started.
The issue has been occurring for approximately one month.
Additional observations:
I can see thumbnails/previews of older photos in the app.
Recent photos do not appear correctly.
After a failed import, the app loses connection to the glasses, but the glasses remain connected in iPhone Bluetooth settings.
The issue occurs specifically when attempting to import media.
Could you please review whether this is a known Meta View issue, a firmware issue, or a problem with the media database on the glasses? I would appreciate any advanced troubleshooting steps or diagnostic procedures.
Basically to sum up the app cannot recognize the glasses once i press upload.
Thank you.
