I been told by a co worker at Sam’s Club I can qualify for a parental leave even as a father. I got a baby on the way this December. I’m full time and been with the company 6 years. My co worker was telling me I can get 6 weeks paid at 100% full pay. I can then extend it to 12 weeks but only 6 weeks are paid. The other 6 weeks would be unpaid.

Is this true?

My gf also works for Walmart, actual Walmart store too not Sam’s Club. Does she get more time paid off. He was telling me the mom can get 12 weeks full pay if she’s even with Walmart for a year and is full time. Is that true for her case ?
