BC Rich platinum warlock

Re finished my pawn shop BC Rich platinum warlock. Bought this about 15 years ago, was silver, made it red and white stripes. About a month ago I randomly stripped it and tore it down.

Took all the paint off and got it back down to bare wood. Surprisingly it wasn't plywood and has a fairly nice grain in places. (Most likely Agathis).

Decided on wood dye, wanted a coral colour. Unfortunately it turned out much more red than I wanted. Thought I'd lean into it and make it look all out metal with a deep blood red. Didn't like it, sanded it back a little again and was able to blend the red with some blue and yellow to make this antique brown.

Having the mix of colours has given it a much more interesting look than just plain ole brown.

4 coats of osmo oil for the finish.

Iron gear metal machines added with coil tap.

Sounds lovely, will be getting used loads.

Currently tuned to C standard.

So happy with it.

TLDR took the paint off my red guitar, accidentally made it red again, then made it brown.
