I built HomeNest, an app to bring families together and tame the daily scheduling chaos
I've always felt like managing a household shouldn't feel like running a small corporation. Between missed family dinners, overlapping appointments, and the general chaos of everyone going in different directions, I noticed we were losing those small, everyday moments of connection. And when I looked for apps to help organize us, they all felt too cluttered, too complex, or like they were treating our private family life as a commodity.
That's where the idea came from. I wanted something built for how families actually interact—something simple, private, and calm. A quiet environment where everyone knows what's happening without the usual noise.
I started working on this during my evenings after my day job. Everything in it comes from my own family's experience and the desire to build a "zero-guilt" space that respects our privacy.
At its core, there's a beautifully simple shared calendar so there's no confusion about who is where, along with ways to find joy in shared moments and stay connected every day.
Now I'd like to share where it's at. I've put a huge amount of heart into this because I know other families are feeling the same burnout. If you have feedback, please drop it here or send me a message. I'll do my best to turn meaningful suggestions into real features as fast as I can. Questions are welcome too.
It's called HomeNest. You can find the links below.
Feel free to recommend it to families who might benefit from a calmer, more connected household. I'm thinking about how to reach the right people, so any support helps.
I hope you enjoy it.
