Distractors equal slaves??

So I've been distracting in publics for a while now, and honestly I'm quite good at it. I enjoy carrying people to high floors, but I've noticed a pretty big issue with how disctrators are treated by the community. For example I've noticed that it's pretty common and acceptable to start harrasing a distractor if they don't want to/can't distract anymore. So I don't like when people don't listen to me in runs. That's why I came up with a strategy: I'll just take a break for a floor, decide if I want to contunie with this team, then either leave or contunie. Outside of my head it looks like your distractor is being afk near ele for a floor. Normal stuff, right? Well, not for public runers! The amount of time I got griefed to force me into distracting is insane. Like people are litteraly seeing me afk, checking if I'm moving or not(I'm not moving) and start leading twists into me. Like hello, what if I have an emergency? What if I got pulled out by my family? You just gonna kill me and send "smart thinking"? Other thing people have normalised by now is getting into distractor's way, getting hit and then blaming distractor for it. You can also be deamed as a "bad distractor" and refused to be healed just because you got hit under floor 10, which means you're "noob". We're not talking about how toxic community gets when you choose to extract as "distractor" toon. I really like to play as Looey in any role. So run starts, ele opens and somebody says "Looey, distract". Excuse me?? Am I a dog to you to follow commands?(well Looey technically is, but you get what I mean)
And what's funny is that everyone leaves if there's no distractor. Your team can go from 8 to 3 before the start of the run, and yet distractors are treated like garbage. Peace out
