Hi all, this is Leo, a stray who showed up at my godparents house that I took in. I went ahead and signed up for Spot since my two girls are already covered under them. However, we took Leo to the vet and found out he has FIV and elevated cardiac enzymes. My vet stated I should take him in for a diagnostic ultrasound to determine if there is heart failure etc… Would this be a pre-existing condition since there is already documentation of the elevated cardiac enzymes? I just asked since he has been diagnosed with anything officially and cannot be until the ultrasound. Initial vet visit was before coverage, since I needed to make sure he was okay to be around my girls and didn’t have anything major going on.
