British Passport Question

Hi guys,

My wifes spouse visa renewal biometrics is next week and we submitted all of our documents the other day.

I just realised that I (british citizen) uploaded my new passport and totally forgot about the section on the passport that has space for my signature. My old passport had it there automatically, so I just never thought about it with the new one. Im aware they're not considered "valid" until I sign it.

Is this an issue for her application? Im aware my passport is needed to prove my Immigration status as a British citizen.

I did also upload my old british passport that expired in 2024 that does have my signature, if that somehow resolves my worry.

Thank you.

2 Years of Correspondence

Hi

Just a sanity check as im uploading documents for my wifes spouse visa renewal, her bio is next week.

First spouse visa approved (she was already on the UK on a graduate visa): 12 December 2023

Expires: 12 June 2026

I see people mention the correspondence needs to cover 2 years, but the checklist mentions since her last grant of leave.

I have currently covered April 2024 - end of April 2026 correctly, but should I be adding a bill from Dec 23/Jan 24 aswell, since thats close to when her visa was first approved?

Thank you :)

Spouse Visa Renewal

Hi

We just submitted my wifes application for a renewal. I just noticed this on the question that says "what UK visa, entry clearance or grant of leave do you have?".

We put Spouse as her BRP said that, but i just noticed her evisa says dependent.

Is this something I should correct in our cover letter? Or is it a non issue.

Thank you!

Tenancy Agreement Question

Hi all, just a quick thing ive noticed before applying for my wifes spouse visa extension.

Our current 2025-2026 Tenancy agreement shows a rent of £850 per month.

We currently pay £880 because we have a dog, and were charged £30 more per month. No new contract was written up or anything, its just a fee this company charges for a pet in the apartment, we just altered our bank transfer amount.

Do I need to explain this discrepancy as the application asks for how much rent we pay, and its £30 more than the tenancy agreement says. Should I add an explanation in our cover letter? Or doesnt it really matter.

Thanks :)

Bank Statements

Hey, I will be renewing my wifes spouse visa next week under category A, i meet all the requirements, and its a simple case. My question is about my bank statements.

I had to request an interim bank statement in Feb, which has now split my monthly statement into 2, and my bank won't merge them into one statement.

Do I need to clarify that my February statement is split into 2 in my cover letter, to avoid any confusion? Or just simply just add in February 1-16 2026 & February 17-28 2026 to the name of the PDF'S.

Im also adding an interim bank statement for May, as my pay im April appears at the start of my May statement, so it will be 8 bank statement files uploaded now.

Appreciate any advice!

Joint Correspondence Question

Should I date these documents based on the month they cover, or the date of issue?

My water bill covers 6th April - 6th May (issued on the 6th May aswell) should I label it as April 2026 as thats the month it covers, or May 2026 because thats when it was issued?

For a tenancy renewal agreement that was signed in December 2025 but starts in March 2026. should I label it by the signing date or the start date? You can see both dates clearly on the addendum, so im unsure which date the HO would pick. We usually get asked to sign it a few months in advance, so they know they don't have to find other tenants.

More curious about the tenancy agreement, as getting that incorrect would leave a gap in time. Not massively important I assume, but id like to be accurate!

Thanks :)
