GOW Actress "controversy" is caused by poor engine lighting and art direction
I mean just look at it. Actress is pretty, in game looks freaky. The shadows around her eyes look unnatural and way too dark, the highlights on her face are harsh and unrealistic, her skin looks plasticy and lifeless. Compare it to a game like Death Stranding that understood how to make a face look natural and pleasant, GOW looks strange.
It's not that she looks ugly in game. She looks STRANGE because of how bad the lighting is. Ugly or not, the game looks bad.
Every picture I've seen posted as a demonstration of how "ugly" she is is really just a demonstration of how strange and half baked the lighting in the game looks.
