Lots of preprints as undergrad student applying for phd application

I have a workshop paper published. and honestly 5-6 preprints ( 2-3 are under review [in top tier venues , so i dont expect much] ) and rest of them (2) are just waiting for application to open for fit venues.

All of them are quality works (at least i assume so) but they are preprints. Should i put them in my CV for phd applications?

May i be ...

Like the earth, water, wind, and fire,

medicinal herbs, and the trees of the wilderness,

may I always freely be an object of enjoyment,

by all beings as they wish.

May I be beloved of beings, and may they

be more beloved to me than myself.

May I bear the results of their negativity,

and may they have the results of all my virtue

As long as there is even some single

sentient being somewhere who is not yet free,

may I remain (in the world) for that being’s sake,

even if I have attained unexcelled awakening

Happy Buddha Jayanti.

May we all aspire to be like the Blessed One—complete in himself, free from inner conflict because his understanding of reality was complete.

The Buddha was a simple man. He sought neither fame nor ambition, neither power nor praise. He lived in harmony with Dhamma—the law of nature—modestly and mindfully. He ate once a day, slept on the floor, and walked the path of discipline and compassion.

The Buddha was extraordinary, but not in the way people often imagine. His greatest powers were not the miraculous ones that attract attention, but the rare strength of perfect clarity, deep compassion, and complete freedom from craving.

I’m exploring Weight Space Learning and looking to connect with folks and mentors interested in working on research problems in this domain. (i am https://www.barsat.dev/ by the way)

Weight-space learning is a branch of machine learning that focuses on learning, reasoning, and operating directly in the space of neural network parameters (weights) rather than only on input-output behavior.

Interesting field really , I’d be happy to connect.
this survey is a great overview of the field: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2603.10090

Hi , i am barsat ( https://www.barsat.dev/ )
the mod and creator of this sub. this summer i am carrying multiple research projects to explore how we can utilize ml techniques to extract insights from EBT. It has been a long standing goal of mine to use my computational techniques to explore EBT yet i did not had time , but i am pretty free to explore that upcoming few months. If you are interested in such stuff , then drop your github in my DM and we can explore something interesting.

Here an uninstructed persn perceives form [1] as self, or self as possessing form, or form as existing in the self, or self as existing in form. That form then changes and becomes otherwise. As that form changes and becomes otherwise, their consciousness is carried along by the change of form. As their consciousness becomes entangled with the changing form, anxiety and mental disturbance arise, seizing and overwhelming the mind. When the mind is overwhelmed, they become agitated, distressed (afflicted or frustrated with [vighātavant]), and consumed by longing (full of longing or desire [apekkhava]). Thus, by clinging, this person experiences anxiety.

69

An immature person conceives it is like honey,
until the misdeed does not ripen;
but when the misdeed ripens,
then they fall into suffering.

70

Even if, month by month, an immature person,
were to eat their food with the tip of a grass blade;
Yet compared to the one who has comprehended the nature of reality,
they are not worth a sixteenth part.

71

Indeed, a wrong, once committed,
does not solidify quickly, like fresh milk thickening;
Smoldering, it shadows the immature person,
like fire hidden beneath ashes.

72

Only for the sake of harm,
does knowledge arise in an immature person;
It afflicts their good fortune,
and shatters their head.

73

He would desire praise for the qualities he does not possess,
and precedence among the bhikkhus;
Authority in dwelling places,
and veneration from other households.

74

Let both householders and renunciants
think, “This was done by me alone,”
Let them be dependent on me,
in whatever should or should not be done;
Such is the intention of an immature person,
their longings and conceit only grow.

75

For the pursuit of acquisitions is one thing,
and the path to Nibbāna another;
Experientially understanding this,
a bhikkhu, disciple of the Buddha;
Should not take delight in respect,
but should cultivate seclusion.

This post is not entirely going to be related to buddhism.
But a very important point that buddhism taught me. Most lives around us go with the flow. I am not judging in particular that its wrong to go with the flow. but as someone highly inspired from blessed one , i am constantly reminded that life is short.

Achieve nirvana or not but it is well spent and beautiful if it is purposeful. great sages of our time were driven by purpose.

Dhammapada 38: One of unsteady mind, who is of wavering confidence wisdom fails to win

Detachment is the highest purpose one can pursue , as it burns all other purpose with a single stick of flame.
