StAG 15 question
My family of 5 is applying for German citizenship by descent through the stAG 15 naturalization process. I am currently living in Germany but my visa expires in 3 months, I have another 3 months to stay within the Schengen zone so in total I can be in Germany for 6 months. Some embassy employees are recommending we all apply together as our applications would all be processed at the same time. They also mentioned it would be more efficient if there were any problems with the application they could be rectified together rather than separately.
The issue is other embassy employees (in different countries US & UK) are saying I have to apply separately and in Germany as that is where I am currently living, I just can’t imagine this process will be completed within my 6 months of legally living in Germany. I am definitely willing to apply in Germany but I feel it will extend the process rather than expedite it, I could be wrong! If anyone has any suggestions or advice or had gone through a similar experience that would be great. Thank you!!
